Daily Light on The Daily Path

The God of all grace.

[1 Pet 5:10 NET]

“I will proclaim the Lord by name before you; I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious.”—“God is gracious to him and says, ’Spare him from going down to the place of corruption, I have found a ransom for him.’”—They are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. God publicly displayed him at his death as the mercy seat accessible through faith. This was to demonstrate his righteousness, because God in his forbearance had passed over the sins previously committed.—Grace and truth came about through Jesus Christ.

For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.—Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord!—To each one of us grace was given according to the measure of the gift of Christ.—Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of the varied grace of God.—He gives greater grace.

Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the honor both now and on that eternal day.

“For the life of every living thing is in the blood. So I myself have assigned it to you on the altar to make atonement for your lives, for the blood makes atonement by means of the life.”

[Lev 17:11 NET]

“Look, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

The blood of the Lamb!” By precious blood like that of an unblemished and spotless lamb, namely Christ. Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. The blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

He entered once for all into the most holy place not by the blood of goats and calves but by his own blood, and so he himself secured eternal redemption. Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus, by the fresh and living way that he inaugurated for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, let us draw near with a sincere heart in the assurance that faith brings.

For you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.

The Lord is on friendly terms with me.

[Judg 6:24 NET]

“Look, you will have a son, who will be a peaceful man. I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side. Indeed, Solomon will be his name; I will give Israel peace and quiet during his reign.”

“Something greater than Solomon is here!” For a child has been born to us, a son has been given to us. He shoulders responsibility and is called: Extraordinary Strategist, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. My people will live in peaceful settlements, in secure homes, and in safe, quiet places. Even if the forest is destroyed and the city is annihilated.

For he is our peace. He will give us peace. Should the Assyrians try to invade our land.

“They will make war with the Lamb, but the Lamb will conquer them, because he is Lord of lords and King of kings.”

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.”

“Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep.”

[John 11:11 NET]

Now we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve like the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also we believe that God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep as Christians.

For if the dead are not raised, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is useless; you are still in your sins. Furthermore, those who have fallen asleep in Christ have also perished. But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

When the entire nation was on the other side, the Lord told Joshua, “Pick up twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan, from the very place where the priests stand firmly … These stones will be a lasting memorial for the Israelites.”—“This Jesus God raised up, and we are all witnesses of it.”—The witnesses God had already chosen, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

My eyes grow tired from looking up to the sky.

[Isa 38:14 NET]

Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am frail! Heal me, Lord, for my bones are shaking! I am absolutely terrified, and you, Lord – how long will this continue? Relent, Lord, rescue me! Deliver me because of your faithfulness!—My heart beats violently within me; the horrors of death overcome me. Fear and panic overpower me; terror overwhelms me. I say, “I wish I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and settle in a safe place!

For you need endurance.

As they were still staring into the sky while he was going, suddenly two men in white clothing stood near them and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand here looking up into the sky? This same Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will come back in the same way you saw him go into heaven.”—But our citizenship is in heaven – and we also await a savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.—The happy fulfillment of our hope in the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I know the one in whom my faith is set and I am convinced that he is able.

[2 Tim 1:12 NET]

Able to do far beyond all that we ask or think.

Able to make all grace overflow to you so that because you have enough of everything in every way at all times, you will overflow in every good work.

Able to help those who are tempted.

Able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

Able to keep you from falling, and to cause you to stand, rejoicing, without blemish before his glorious presence.

Able to protect what has been entrusted to me until that day.

Who will transform these humble bodies of ours into the likeness of his glorious body by means of that power by which he is able to subject all things to himself.

“Do you believe that I am able to do this?” … “Yes, Lord.” “Let it be done for you according to your faith.”

[He] protect[s] the way of his pious ones.

[Prov 2:8 NET]

The Lord your God … going before you to find places for you to set up camp. He appeared by fire at night and cloud by day, to show you the way you ought to go. Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that hovers over its young, so the Lord spread out his wings and took him, he lifted him up on his pinions. The Lord alone was guiding him, no foreign god was with him. The Lord grants success to the one whose behavior he finds commendable. Even if he trips, he will not fall headlong, for the Lord holds his hand. The godly face many dangers, but the Lord saves them from each one of them. Certainly the Lord guards the way of the godly, but the way of the wicked ends in destruction. And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. “The Lord our God is with us to help us and fight our battles!”

The Lord your God is in your midst; he is a warrior who can deliver. He takes great delight in you.
