Jesus Always

One of My names is Wonderful Counselor. I understand you far, far better than you understand yourself. So come to Me with your problems and insecurities, seeking My counsel. In the Light of My loving Presence you can see yourself as you really are: radiantly lovely in My brilliant righteousness. Though My righteousness is perfect, you will continue to struggle with imperfections—yours and others’—as long as you live in this world. Still, your standing with Me is secure. Nothing in all creation can separate you from My Love!

A good counselor helps you recognize truth and live according to it. Actually, I was born and came into the world to testify to the truth. So be open and honest when you bring Me your concerns. Also, fill your mind and heart with My Word, which contains absolute truth.

A wonderful counselor is not only extremely good at helping people but also able to inspire delight or pleasure. Delight yourself in Me, beloved, and I will give you the desires of your heart.

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
~ Isaiah 9:6 [NASB]

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
~ Romans 8:38–39

Pilate said, “So you are a king?” Jesus responded, “You say I am a king. Actually, I was born and came into the world to testify to the truth. All who love the truth recognize that what I say is true.”
~ John 18:37 [NLT]

Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.
~ Psalm 37:4

Let it Go

“Yes,” Jesus replied, “and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for my sake and for the Good News, will receive now in return a hundred times as many houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and property – along with persecution. And in the world to come that person will have eternal life.
~ Mark 10:29-30 [NLT]

When we move closer to Jesus, He gently shows us things we need to surrender to Him.  God knows we can’t enter His Kingdom by gathering up the things of this world.  We only enter, when we willingly follow him.  So let go of the things that are holding you back.  God promises an eternal reward for our obedience to Him.

Daily Wisdom

“Who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

~ Gal 2:20

Many of the saints of God may not be so highly favored as to take up into their lips Paul’s language of strong, personal assurance. They may hope, and at times may rise beyond a hope, into a sweet confidence, by the shining in of the Sun of righteousness, that the Son of God has loved them, and given himself for them. But the strength of Paul’s persuasion and the full expression of his confidence so far outstrip both their assurance and their language, that many real saints of God confess they come short both in heart and tongue. Yet their coming short of this blessed certainty as an enjoyed reality in the heart, and as a declared confidence by the mouth—for conscience and tongue must move together where God works—does not affect the fact.

Clouds and mists sometimes obscure the sun, but they do not blot him out of the sky. So the mists and fogs of unbelief may obscure the Sun of righteousness, yet they do not blot him out of the spiritual hemisphere. He still loved you and gave himself for you who believe in his name, though you may not be able to rise up to the faith of Paul, or speak with the same fullness of assurance. The bud has the same union with the vine as the branch, but not the same strength of union; the babe is as much a member of the family as the grown-up son, but has not the same knowledge of its relationship; the foot is as much a part of the body as the eye or the hand, though it has not the same nearness to the head, or the same honors and employments.

Evening Prayer

John 12:24; John 15:16; Philippians 1:11

In Jesus’ Name, I Pray God’s Will for You

I pray that you will be fruitful in the things God has appointed you to do. May you understand that He chose you to go and bear fruit; fruit that will last. May you not worry about the money or resources you need to accomplish the work of the Father, for He has promised to provide you with whatever you ask in Jesus’ name. I pray that you will not worry about gaining honor or recognition for your work, for unless you die to such fleshly desires, you cannot bear fruit. May you concern yourself only with the task at hand of proclaiming the righteousness that comes through Christ. I pray that you will be fruitful to the glory and praise of God.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
