Jesus Always

You have received new birth into a living hope through My resurrection from the dead. I died on the cross to pay the penalty for the sins of all My followers. However, if I had remained dead, your faith would be useless and you would forever be spiritually dead—still guilty of your sins. Of course, it was impossible for My death to be permanent because I am God! As I stated clearly to those who questioned Me, I and My Father are One.

My resurrection is an extremely well-documented historical fact. This miraculous event opened the way for you to experience new birth. By confessing your sinfulness and trusting Me as your Savior, you have become one of My own—walking along a pathway to heaven. Because I am your living Savior, you walk along a way of living hope! The Light of My loving Presence shines upon you always, even in your darkest, most difficult moments. Look up to Me, beloved. Let My brilliant Love-Light pierce the darkness and fill your heart with Joy.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
~ 1 Peter 1:3

And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins.
~ 1 Corinthians 15:17 [NLT]

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins.
~ Ephesians 2:1

“I and My Father are one.”
~ John 10:30 [NKJV]

Jesus Always

Sometimes you need help even to ask for My help. As you try to do several things at once, you find yourself moving faster and faster—interrupting one thing to do another. If your phone rings at such a time, your stress level rises even higher. The best way out of this turmoil is to STOP everything. Take a few deep breaths and whisper My Name. Acknowledge your need for My guidance through the moments of this day. I will lovingly lead you along paths of righteousness—for My Name’s sake.

When you are preparing to do something challenging, you usually take time to enlist My help. But when you’re facing everyday tasks, you tend to dive in unassisted—as if you can handle these matters alone. How much better it is to approach everything in humble dependence on Me! Whenever you find yourself in “diving” mode, ask Me to help you stop and seek Me—letting Me show you the way to go forward. I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.

The Lord] restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
~ Psalm 23:3

God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.
~ Acts 17:27

The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.
~ Psalm 32:8 [NLT]

Jesus Always

I am making you new in the attitude of your mind. Living close to Me is all about newness and change. I am transforming you by the entire renewal of your mind. This is a massive undertaking; you will be under construction till the day you die. However, unlike the inanimate materials that builders use to construct houses, you are living, breathing “material.” I have given you the amazing ability to think things out and make important choices. I want you to use this godlike ability to cooperate with Me as I transform you. This involves putting off your old self—your old way of thinking and doing things—and putting on the new self.

To make good, godly choices, you need to know Me as I truly am. Search for Me in My Word; ask My Spirit to illuminate it—shining His Light so that Scripture comes alive to you. The more you choose to live according to My will, the more you will become like Me, and the more you can enjoy walking in the Light of My Presence.

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
~ Ephesians 4:22–24

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
~ 2 Corinthians 5:17

Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].
~ Romans 12:2 [AMP]

Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, O Lord.
~ Psalm 89:15

Jesus Always

If I am for you, who can be against you? Beloved, I most assuredly am for you since you are My follower. Of course, this doesn’t mean that no one will ever oppose you. It means that having Me on your side is the most important fact of your existence. Regardless of what happens in your life, you are on the winning side! I already won the victory through My death and resurrection. I am the eternal Victor, and you share in My triumph, no matter how much adversity you encounter on your journey to heaven. Ultimately, nothing and no one can prevail against you because you belong to Me forever.

Knowing that your future is utterly secure can change your perspective dramatically. Instead of living in defensive mode, trying desperately to protect yourself from suffering, you learn to follow Me boldly, wherever I lead. I am training you not only to seek My Face and follow My lead but to enjoy this adventure of abandoning yourself to Me. Remember: I am your ever-present Help in trouble.

What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
~ Romans 8:31

When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.”
~ Psalm 27:8 [NKJV]

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
~ Psalm 46:1

Jesus Always

When the way just ahead of you seems too difficult, turn to Me and say: “I can’t, but we (You and I together) can.” Acknowledging your inability to handle things on your own is a healthy dose of reality. However, this is only one part of the equation, because a sense of inadequacy by itself can be immobilizing. The most important part of the equation is recognizing My abiding Presence with you and My desire to help you.

Pour out your heart to Me. Ask Me to carry your burdens and show you the way forward. Don’t waste energy worrying about things that are beyond your control. Instead, use that energy to connect with Me. Seek My Face continually. Be ready to follow wherever I lead, trusting Me to open up the way before you as you go.

Dare to see your inadequacy as a door to My Presence. View your journey as an adventure that you share with Me. Remain in close communication with Me, enjoying My company as we journey together.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
~ Philippians 4:13 [NKJV]

Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.
~ Psalm 62:8

Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face continually.
~ Psalm 105:4 [NASB]

Jesus Always

As you seek Me, I encourage you to rejoice and be glad in Me. Take time to praise Me in psalms and song. Think about who I am: I dwell in splendor, majesty, and beauty. Then remember how I left the Glory of heaven and came into the world—so I could bring you into My kingdom of everlasting Life and Light. All of this helps you to be joyful in Me, your Savior. This Joy ushers you further into My holy Presence, helping you draw nearer to Me. And this nearness gives you even more reason to rejoice!

Being joyful blesses not only you but other people. Your family and friends will benefit from your gladness, which can rub off on them. You can also influence many beyond your inner circle. When My followers are joyful, unbelievers are more likely to be drawn to Me. Joy shines in stark contrast to your ever-darkening world, and some people will ask you about it. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you the reason for your hope.

But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who love your salvation always say, “Let God be exalted!”
~ Psalm 70:4

Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
~ Psalm 96:6 [ESV]

Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.
~ Habakkuk 3:18

But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.
~ 1 Peter 3:15

Jesus Always

You are a child of God. Someday you will see Me as I am—you will be face to Face with Me in Glory. Until then, I am training you to be made new in the attitude of your mind, to put on the new self. Although your new self is being conformed to My image, this process doesn’t erase the essence of who you are. Instead, the more you become like Me, the more you develop into the unique person I designed you to be.

You have been a member of My royal family since you first trusted Me as Savior. Thus you’re a fellow heir with Me—sharing My inheritance. However, you must share My suffering if you are to share My Glory. When you encounter hard times, search for Me in the midst of your struggles. Ask Me to help you suffer well, in a manner worthy of the King’s household. Everything you endure can help you become more like Me. Remember the ultimate goal: You will see My Face in righteousness—and be satisfied!

Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
~ 1 John 3:2 [NKJV]

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
~ Ephesians 4:22–24

Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
~ 1 John 3:2 [NKJV]

This day of life is a precious gift from Me. Treat it as the treasure it is by prayerfully prioritizing. As you look into the day that stretches out before you, seek My Face to help you discern what is most important. Set priorities according to My will, and use them to guide you as you go along your pathway. This practice will help you make good choices about the use of your time and energy. When you reach the end of the day, you can feel at peace about the things you have done—and also the things you have not done.

I encourage you to invite Me into everything you do. The briefest prayer, “Help me, Lord,” is sufficient to involve Me in your activities. I delight in your acknowledgment that you need Me continually. And I want you to delight in your neediness, for it is a strong link to My radiant Presence. Although living in a dependent mode is countercultural, it is a blessed way to live—rejoicing in the Glory of My Presence.

This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
~ Psalm 118:24 [NKJV]

Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.
~ 1 Chronicles 16:10–11

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
~ John 15:5

To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy . . .
~ Jude v. 24

Jesus Always

Great is My Love, reaching to the heavens; My faithfulness reaches to the skies. You can feel wonderfully secure in Love that has no boundaries or limits. My faithfulness also has no bounds.

Respond to these wondrous gifts with worship. The more you praise Me, the more you can reflect My Glory to other people. This is the work of the Holy Spirit, who is transforming you into My likeness with ever-increasing Glory. As you draw near Me through worship, I change you profoundly, equipping you to make Me known to others.

My Love not only reaches to the heavens but descends upon you from heavenly realms. Keep looking up to Me, beloved. See Me smiling on you in radiant approval. My limitless Love falls continually upon you, like heavenly snowflakes that melt into your upturned face. No matter how distressing your circumstances, this Love is sufficient to sustain you. Someday you will even ascend to heaven on it. I eagerly anticipate the time when I will take you into Glory—to be with Me forever!

I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
~ Psalm 57:9–10

And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
~ 2 Corinthians 3:18

“The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you; the Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).”
~ Numbers 6:25–26 [AMP]

Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory.
~ Psalm 73:23–24

Through My resurrection from the dead, you have new birth into a living hope. My work in you is all about “newness.” Because you belong to Me, you’re a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! Your adoption into My royal family occurred instantaneously, at the moment you first trusted Me as Savior. At that instant, your spiritual status changed from death to life—eternal Life. You have an inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade—kept in heaven for you.

You are indeed a new creation, with the Holy Spirit living in you. But your becoming a Christian was only the beginning of the work I’m doing in you. You need to be made new in the attitude of your mind and to put on the new self—becoming increasingly godly, righteous, and holy. This is a lifelong endeavor, and it is preparing you for heaven’s Glory. So receive this assignment with courage and gratitude. Be alert, and look for all the wonderful things I am doing in your life.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you.
~ 1 Peter 1:3–4

Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
~ Romans 6:4 [NKJV]
