Jesus Always

Trust Me and don’t be afraid. Do not be frightened by world events or news reports. These reports are biased ~ presented as if I do not exist. News clips show tiny bits of world events from which the most important factor has been carefully removed: My Presence in the world. As journalists sift through massive amounts of information, they strain out everything about Me and what I’m accomplishing on the earth.

Whenever your world is feeling like a scary place, turn to Me and encourage yourself in My Presence. Follow the example of David, who strengthened himself in the Lord when his men were threatening to stone him. You also can find courage through remembering who I am. Ponder My awesome Glory and Power; delight in My unfailing Love. Rejoice that you are on an adventurous journey with Me and your ultimate destination is heaven. As you keep focusing on Me and enjoying the rich relationship I offer you, fear will subside and Joy will rise up within you. Trust in Me wholeheartedly, beloved, for I am your Strength and your Song.

Isaiah 12:2; Exodus 33:14; 1 Samuel 30:6 [NKJV]

Jesus Always

Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of Joy. So do not despise your tears, My child; they are precious to Me. Someday I will wipe every tear from your eyes, but for now you inhabit a vale of tears. Just as water is necessary for seeds to grow into plants, your tears help you grow into a stronger, more joyful Christian. Your willingness to share in the sorrow of this deeply fallen world gives you depth and compassion. It also enlarges your capacity for Joy—your ability to enjoy Me in good times and tough times. Songs of Joy have been your birthright ever since you became My follower. Do not neglect this delightful way of worshiping Me and lifting your spirits. Even though it is counterintuitive to sing praises when you’re feeling sad, this is a powerful way to lift your heart to Me. As your Joy in Me encounters My delight in you, you can frolic in the Light of My Presence.
This is the Joy of the Lord!

I am richly present in the world around you, in the Word, and in your heart through My Spirit. Ask Me to open the eyes of your heart so that you can “see” Me—for I am lovingly present in all your moments. It’s vital to set aside blocks of time for seeking My Face. This requires sustained mental discipline: pulling your thoughts back from the idols that entice you and choosing to think about Me. I am the living Word, so you will find Me vibrantly present when you search for Me in the Scriptures.

I created breathtaking beauty in the world, to point you to the One who made everything. Without Me, nothing was made that has been made. Whenever you are enjoying something beautiful, thank Me. This pleases Me, and it also increases your pleasure. When you encounter difficult, ugly things in this broken world, trust Me then too. Keep looking for Me in the midst of your good times and your hard times. Find hope and comfort through knowing that all your times are in My hands.

Jesus Always

If I am for you, who can be against you? It is essential for you to grasp that I truly am for you. This is a promise for all of My followers. When things are not going your way and people you trusted turn against you, it’s easy to feel as if I’ve abandoned you. At such times it’s vital to tell yourself the truth: I am not only with you always, I am also for you all the time. This is true on days when you perform well and on days when you don’t, when people treat you well and when they don’t.

If you really understand and fully believe that I am for you, then fear will diminish and you can face adversity more calmly. Knowing that I will never turn against you gives you confidence to persevere in tough times. I approve of you, beloved, because you are Mine! It is My opinion of you that prevails—and will continue to prevail throughout eternity. No person and no thing will be able to separate you from My loving Presence!

Refuse to worry, My cherished one. Displace those worry-thoughts with trusting and thankful thoughts. Affirm your faith in Me while praising Me for all that I am and all I have done. This combination of praise and trust is potent. It drives away anxiety and powers of darkness. Also, it strengthens your relationship with Me. You may still have legitimate concerns to deal with, but I will help you with them. As you become more peaceful, you can look at your problems in the Light of My Presence and seek My counsel. Let Scripture inform your thinking so that I can communicate with you more clearly. Take time to thank Me for the many good things in your life. I want you to express gratefulness in your prayers, in your conversations with others, and in your private thoughts. I read your thoughts continually, and I rejoice when they contain gratitude. You can thank Me even for things you wish were different. This act of faith helps you break free from negative thinking. In everything give thanks; this is My will for you.

Jesus Always

I am making you new in the attitude of your mind. Living close to Me is all about newness and change. I am transforming you by the entire renewal of your mind. This is a massive undertaking; you will be under construction till the day you die. However, unlike the inanimate materials that builders use to construct houses, you are living, breathing “material.” I have given you the amazing ability to think things out and make important choices. I want you to use this godlike ability to cooperate with Me as I transform you. This involves putting off your old self—your old way of thinking and doing things—and putting on the new self.

To make good, godly choices, you need to know Me as I truly am. Search for Me in My Word; ask My Spirit to illuminate it—shining His Light so that Scripture comes alive to you. The more you choose to live according to My will, the more you will become like Me, and the more you can enjoy walking in the Light of My Presence.

Thank Me for the glorious gift of forgiveness. I am your Savior-God, and I alone can give you this blessing. I went to exorbitant expense to procure this gift for you. You receive forgiveness and become My child by receiving Me and believing in My Name. This Name, Jesus, means the Lord saves. To receive this gift of salvation, you need to trust Me as your only Hope ~ the One who delivers you from all your sins.

There is no condemnation for those who are in Me. I want you to enjoy the wonder of walking through your life as My follower, totally forgiven! The best response to this wondrous gift is to live in gratitude, seeking to please Me above all else. You don’t need to do good things to secure My Love, because it’s already yours. Just let your desire to please Me flow readily out of your grateful heart. Thanking Me frequently will help you stay close to Me, ready to follow wherever I lead. Rejoice, beloved, for through Me the law of the Spirit of Life has set you free!

Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
~ John 1:12

And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.
~ Acts 4:12 [NASB]

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.
~ Romans 8:1–2

No matter how inadequate you may feel, you can always look to Me for help. You don’t need to go to a special place or assume a certain posture to seek My Face. Nor do you need to use elegant language or work to win My favor. I always look favorably on you because I see you clothed in My righteousness. I am alive in you, and I understand your thoughts perfectly. So a simple glance at Me—made in faith—is enough to connect you to My help.

You tend to waste energy trying to determine whether your resources are adequate for the day. You keep checking your “power gauge” instead of looking to Me for My provision. How much better to simply acknowledge your insufficiency when you awaken! This frees you to rely on My boundless sufficiency. If you stay in touch with Me, I will place enough Power at your disposal to meet your needs as they arise. Keep turning toward Me, your ever-present Help, and your strength will be equal to the demands of your day.

Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.
~ Psalm 105:4

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
~ Isaiah 61:10 [NKJV]

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
~ Psalm 46:1

The bolts of your gates will be iron and bronze, and your strength will equal your days.
~ Deuteronomy 33:25

Don’t think of prayer as a chore. Instead, view it as communicating with the One you adore. Delight yourself in Me; this will draw you irresistibly into communion with Me. Remember all that I am to you, all I have done for you. I love you with perfect, everlasting Love, and I take great delight in you. Let My tenderness embrace you, convincing you that you are indeed My beloved. Rejoice in the One who will never let you go!

Often the easiest way to start talking with Me is to thank Me for being your Savior, Redeemer, and Friend. You can also give thanks for things that are happening in your life, your family, your church, and beyond. These grateful prayers connect you with Me and ease the way into other prayers.

You can talk freely with Me since I know everything about you and your circumstances. I never reject you because the penalty for your sins has been paid in full with My blood. Trust Me enough to pour out your heart to Me, for I am your Refuge.

Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.
~ Psalm 37:4

“The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.”
~ Zephaniah 3:17

You are my God, and I will praise You; You are my God, I will exalt You. Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
~ Psalm 118:28–29 [NKJV]

Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.
~ Psalm 62:8

I am the Lord of Peace—the only source of genuine Peace. I give you this gift, not as something separate from Myself, but as part of who I am. You cannot just grab this blessing on the run. You need to set aside time for focusing on Me and enjoying My Presence.

You live in the midst of intense spiritual warfare, and My Peace is an essential part of your armor. To stay on your feet during the battles, you must wear sturdy combat boots—the Gospel of Peace. This good news assures you that I love you and I am for you.

Many of My followers forfeit Peace because they think I am always scrutinizing them through critical eyes. On the contrary, I gaze at you through eyes of perfect Love. Instead of punishing yourself when you’ve failed, remember that My death on the cross covers all your sins. I love you with unfailing Love—simply because you’re Mine! Rejoice in this Gospel-Peace; it is yours to enjoy at all times and in every way.

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
~ 2 Thessalonians 3:16

. . . And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace.
~ Ephesians 6:15 [AMP]

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
~ Romans 8:31 [NLT]

Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.
~ Psalm 90:14
