Daily Treasure

Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: for mine eyes have seen thy salvation.

~ Luke 2:29-30

When we have number’d all our years,
And stand, at length, on Jordan’s brink;
Though the flesh fail with mortal fears,
Oh! let not then the spirit sink:
But strong in faith, and hope, and love,
Plunge through the stream to rise above.

Evening Prayer

James 1:4; 2 Peter 1:3-4, 8

In Jesus’ Name, I Pray God’s Will for You

I pray that as you grow in your relationship with the Lord, your heart’s only desire will be to please Him. I pray that you will make every effort to learn what brings joy to God. May you increase your knowledge of Him through His Word. May you remember that God has given you everything you need for life and godliness. I pray that the Holy Spirit will help you grow spiritually and live a life that is pleasing to Him. I pray that your desire to please God will be evident in your life.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

The Encourager

Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion.

~ Isaiah 40:30 [NLT]

It’s time to empathize. Do you have a friend whose hope is disappearing? Subtle signs may include a change in their appetite, social activity or just subdued behavior. Remember when your hopes and dreams came crumbling down? Think about how you felt and what has helped you. God has placed you perfectly in your friend’s life to be the encourager.

Evening Prayer

Daniel 6:16-23

In Jesus’ Name, I Pray God’s Will for You

I pray that, as you keep your walk blameless, God will rescue you from persecutors who wrongly accuse you. May God shut their mouths, and may they find nothing to accuse you of, because your walk is blameless. I pray that none of their words hurt you, because you are innocent in God’s sight. May you walk away unscathed from accusations and persecution because you trust in God. I pray that God will protect you from your accusers.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Afternoon Prayer

1 Corinthians 11:1

In Jesus’ Name, I Pray God’s Will for You

I pray that you will follow the example of godly people around you, even as they follow Christ. May you imitate their faith in the Lord, while you watch them closely. I pray that as you do this, others may see you grow from glory to glory. May God give you the grace to listen and learn from these people, so that you will bear much fruit. I pray that you will learn to be a good disciple.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

The Rock

Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.

~ Matthew 7:24 [NLT]

The words of Jesus are the rock on which we are to build our lives. His teachings, promises, and instructions are the foundation of our faith. Study the words of the Gospels and let Jesus’ words be the wisdom that you follow after.
