’Tis weary watching wave by wave,
And yet the tide heaves onward;
We climb, like corals, grave by grave,
That pave a pathway sunward.
We’re driven back, for our next fray
A newer strength to borrow;
And where the vanguard camps to-day,
The rear shall rest to-morrow.
~ Gerald Massey
Be like the bird, that, pausing in her flight
A while on boughs too slight,
Feels them give way beneath her, and yet sings,
Knowing that she hath wings.
~ Victor Hugo
Eternal God, help me to realize that life is not only endless but, whether I live in love and obedience, or wait in neglect and indifference, that I can never separate myself from thee. May I be diligent in worthy endeavors to do my best for thee. Amen.
God’s heart is for the ONE. He knows each of us by name and He desires that we all come home to him! There is a party in heaven for every single lost broken soul that comes to know Jesus. How can we help just one other come to know God?
KEEP HIS WAYS
In Jesus’ Name, I Pray God’s Will for You
I pray that you will always keep the ways of the Lord and never turn away from them. May you follow all His laws that He has laid out before you. I pray that you will resist sin. I claim the Lord’s reward for you according to your righteousness. May you remain faithful and blameless, as He is faithful and blameless. I pray that you will be humble, for He brings low those whose eyes are haughty. May God give you the grace to keep His ways.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
It’s easy to become annoyed by irritating comments, especially if they’re made by people on your questionable list. They tend to make us think, do, or say irrational things. Your day can then become unpleasant without you even knowing. However, others around you like your spouse, kids, or parents will be in tune. Instead of transferring your temper or irrationality, try to stay calm. The best way is to say a prayer asking God for patience within you and peace surrounding you.
