PSALM 1:1-3 (NKJV)
“Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.”
Who are you listening to? If someone is trying to counsel you, you have every right to evaluate the area of their life that they’re counseling you in. You cannot prosper with ungodly counsel! Today, evaluate who you are listening to. Not based on gifts and skillsets, but based on who is giving the right counsel that is rooted in the Word of God!
God, I’m not going to listen to ungodly counsel anymore. I want to prosper. I want to excel. And I can’t do that with the wrong people in my ear. Help me to recognize the wrong voices that are in my life, so I can focus on hearing the right ones. In Jesus’ name, amen!
What counsel do I need to stop listening to?
Am I willing to hear counsel that is rooted in the Word of God?
