“This is what the sovereign Lord says: I will allow the house of Israel to ask me to do this for them.”
[Ezek 36:37 NET]
You do not have because you do not ask.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” And this is the confidence that we have before him: that whenever we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask, then we know that we have the requests that we have asked from him. But if anyone is deficient in wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without reprimand, and it will be given to him. Open your mouth wide and I will fill it! Then Jesus told them a parable to show them they should always pray and not lose heart.
The Lord pays attention to the godly and hears their cry for help. The godly cry out and the Lord hears; he saves them from all their troubles. “At that time you will ask in my name, and I do not say that I will ask the Father on your behalf. For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me. Ask and you will receive it, so that your joy may be complete.”
