“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.”
Today, as I venture out into a world overflowing with temptation, I just may find myself pulled away from the mirror of righteousness. Let me not forget the image of Jesus at Calvary who bore my sins. Remind me that excuses are not acceptable, that I am called to step up to a higher level in Christ.
