For he knows what we are made of; he realizes we are made of clay.
The Lord God formed the man from the soil of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
I will give you thanks because your deeds are awesome and amazing. You knew me thoroughly; my bones were not hidden from you, when I was made in secret…. Your eyes saw me when I was inside the womb. All the days ordained for me were recorded in your scroll before one of them came into existence.
Do we not all have one father? Did not one God create us?
“For in him we live and move about and exist.” As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on his faithful followers. Yet he is compassionate. He forgives sin and does not destroy. He often holds back his anger, and does not stir up his fury. He remembered that they were made of flesh, and were like a wind that blows past and does not return.
