My heart beats quickly; my strength leaves me. [Ps 38:10]
O God, hear my cry for help! Pay attention to my prayer! From the most remote place on earth I call out to you in my despair. Lead me up to an inaccessible rocky summit!
But he said to me, “My grace is enough for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” So then, I will boast most gladly about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may reside in me. For whenever I am weak, then I am strong.
But when (Peter) saw the strong wind he became afraid. And starting to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him, saying to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” If you faint in the day of trouble, your strength is small! He gives strength to those who are tired; to the ones who lack power, he gives renewed energy. “The everlasting God is a refuge, and underneath you are his eternal arms.” Being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might.
