But they urged him, “Stay with us.” [Luke 24:29]
“Listen! I am standing at the door and knocking! If anyone hears my voice and opens the door I will come into his home and share a meal with him, and he with me.”—Tell me, O you whom my heart loves, where do you pasture your sheep? Where do you rest your sheep during the midday heat? Tell me lest I wander around beside the flocks of your companions!—I found my beloved! I held onto him tightly and would not let him go.
May my beloved come into his garden and eat its delightful fruit!—I have entered my garden.—“I did not tell Jacob’s descendants, ’Seek me in vain!’”
“And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”—“I will never leave you and I will never abandon you.”—“For where two or three are assembled in my name, I am there among them.”—“The world will not see me any longer, but you will see me.”
